New project! “Biobased injection moulded medical disposables optimised by 3D printing”

🌱 🇳🇱 Okos joins national consortium to develop the next generation of biobased medical disposables Wageningen University & Research!

We are excited to share that Okos Diagnostics has been selected as a project partner in the new ChemistryNL initiative “Biobased injection moulded medical disposables optimised by 3D printing (IMMEDIATE)”

The use of plastic medical disposables, including lateral flow test cassettes, has grown rapidly over the past years. These products are often incinerated or end up in unmanaged waste streams, creating significant environmental impact.

This consortium aims to change that 🌍 

By combining biobased materials, advanced manufacturing, and circular design principles, the project will develop a new generation of biodegradable medical disposables that maintain performance while reducing the carbon footprint 🌿
